Here are some photo's I've taken - you can view my work at the Artists Cooperative Gallery of Westerly, at 7 Canal Street in Westerly RI.  We have new exhibits every month.  Come to the Westerly Art Stroll on the first Wednesday of every month from 5:00 - 8:00 pm.

I also have some photo's at Heart2Heart Peaceworks on Railroad Ave. in Westerly, RI, which can be seen during the Westerly Art Stroll.

About My Photography

In my late teens, I discovered photography, and enjoyed taking pictures for several years.  Then ‘real life’ set in.  I traded in my trusty Nikon and climbed the corporate ladder.  Recently, as though a gift from the universe, my 20+ year career in banking came to an abrupt halt, when I was layed off from my job in January 2009. 

In the spring and summer of 2009, I picked up a digital camera and started snapping away.  It’s like I was being called home to something I tucked away so many years ago. 

I just loved the images I was capturing, mostly of flowers.  To me, they shouted “Joy!” and I loved their vibrant colors and textures.  It was like I was looking directly into the heart of the flower, seeing its purity – no pretenses, no worries – just the direct ‘Here I Am-ness’ of pure, raw, incredible nature. 

I couldn’t get enough, and before I knew it, I had a good sized collection.  I started matting and framing them, and making notecards, bookmarks, mousepads, pens and other items, which I placed in a few area stores for sale.

I became a member of the Artists Cooperative Gallery of Westerly in November 2009.  I am very excited to join this wonderful group of artists, and am open to exploring the path now before me.  I hope my images bring you as much joy as they bring me.
